Gautam Das

Gautam Das earned a Bachelor’s degree with Political Science and Public Administration from Osmania University, Hyderabad, and a Masters in Defence Studies from Madras University.

He was in the Indian Army from 1968 to 1991, and was awarded the ‘Sword-of-Honour’ for being the Best All-Round Cadet and the President’s Gold Medal for being ‘First in Order of Merit’ of his batch. He was an infantry officer of the 11th Gorkha Rifles.
