Among the many defining developments in South Asia, perhaps the momentous event is the second term of Prime Minister Modi as the Prime Minister of India, which is being referred to as Modi 2.0. The swearing-in was marked by invitation to leaders of most of the South Asian nations (except Pakistan), as also, some BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) nations were invited thus reiterating primacy of `Neighbourhood First` policy in New Delhi`s politico-diplomatic, economic and strategic framework.
